MATERIALS HANDLING
Stantil designs and supplies a range of materials handling equipment and accessories for a variety of applications, including screw conveyors, industrial paddle mixers and screw feeders. Our equipment is built for purpose and customised to suit the required throughput and product characteristics.
PRODUCT HANDLING SOLUTIONS
Stantil offers several accessories configured for controlled entry and safe product transfer through the thermal system. These solutions tie into the feed and discharge ends of thermal equipment and include Hoppers and feed chutes, Dewatering Screens, Feed Screws at the feed end and De-Lumpers, Cooling Screw Conveyors and Vibrating Sizing Screens at the product discharge end. These items are designed to ensure that the product can transfer safely and efficiently from the thermal environment to the next stage.
PROCESS GAS AND DUST TREATMENT
Depending on the material being processed, particulates are expected to be expelled from the kiln as part of the thermal process. Where the process gas is unsuitable for atmospheric exhaust, a scrubber system would be required to remove the contaminants from the gas.
In the case of excessive fine product being expelled with the process gas, a bag house would be recommended to collect the dust. Once collected, the product can be returned to the processing circuit.
Stantil will work with clients to provide suitable solutions for this process gas collection and treatment, and help ensure that environmental compliance is achieved.
SCREW CONVEYORS
Stantil are able to design and build screw conveyors for several applications where bulk material transfer is required. They can be either pipe or trough in style and incorporate multiple inlets and hatches as required. Depending on product characteristics, throughput and length of conveyance, we will design augers with considerations such as variable pitch, flight thickness and construction material. In the case of longer screw conveyors where hanger bearings are not practicable, we offer a shaftless auger.
COOLING SCREW CONVEYORS
To enable a product to cool during transfer, Stantil supplies a cooling screw conveyor. The pipe style housing incorporates a water jacket. This ensures that running water envelopes the screw which is the most effective way to transfer heat away from the product as it moves along the auger. The cooling screw can be configured to run horizontally or at an incline so the product can be deposited into a suitable collection point. Cooling Screw Conveyors are supplied in 316SS, though other construction materials will be considered.
INDUSTRIAL PADDLE MIXERS
Stantil offers a range of twin shaft paddle mixers which are staggered in arrangement and fast rotating. This action forces material to the centre by centrifugal force enabling a good product mix before discharge. The mixers are able to be equipped with a discharge screw ensuring even residence time and throughput. Paddles are fitted with ceramic pads which are able to withstand abrasive materials.
ACID MIXERS
The Stantil Acid Mixer is essentially a twin-screw paddle mixer with a specialised acid injection system. This enables material to be mixed evenly and thoroughly in a safe, contained environment before roasting. The Stantil model is fitted with an integrated discharge screw, ensuring the product is kept in motion while being discharged evenly.
