ROTARY DRYER
Horizontal rotary dryers are used across a range of industries to reduce the moisture content of a variety of materials.
CONFIGURABLE MINING & INDUSTRIAL ROTARY DRYERS
Stantil Engineering designs and configures rotary dryers to suit particular product characteristics, required moisture reduction and throughput. Considerations determine drum dimensions, residence time, burner specification and style of operation.
INDIRECT HORIZONTAL ROTARY DRYER
The Stantil Indirect-Fired Rotary Dryer benefits from all of the same design efficiencies that our Rotary Calciner does, including high thermal efficiency, low fuel consumption and a reduced footprint, but has a series of unique features that differentiate this dryer from its competitors.
CONFIGURABLE DRYING PARAMETERS
The wide array of materials and outcomes that a dryer may need to process and residence times varying from under 20 minutes to over an hour, rotary dryers need to be flexible;
This has the development of several design modifications that can be implemented to greater or lesser degrees depending on the desired outcome. The Rotary Dryer has variable speed drives installed that can be used to shorten or lengthen the residence time. Stantil can also adjust certain characteristics of the heat tube, such as tailoring its length, lifter design or the discharge scroll configuration.

BURNER SYSTEM AND PROCESS CONTROL
The Rotary Dryer has a full set of modular burners installed as standard; this allows the user to maintain complete process control whilst the burners are configured through a temperature feedback loop from the combustion chamber. Burners are selected and sized for each job individually, ensuring that the turndown ratios are appropriate for the application.
DIRECT-FIRED HORIZONTAL ROTARY DRYER
In addition to the indirect fired dryers, Stantil offers a Direct-Fired Dryer which will be sized according to the feed material, moisture content and throughput. This style of dryer is useful for higher product throughputs where the material is able to pass safely through direct flame and combustion air to quickly remove moisture.
Direct-Fired Dryers are suited to bulk mineral feeds where contact with combustion gases presents no contamination risk. The direct contact between the flame and material delivers higher heat transfer rates than indirect configurations, making this arrangement well suited to higher throughput drying applications.
