ELUTION HEATER
Robust skid-mounted thermal oil heater systems suitable for gold elution circuits, including AARL and Zadra style arrangements.
ELUTION CIRCUIT HEATER
Based on the well established Ansac JO design, the Stantil heater unit is configured with a fully insulated coil style shell. The burner-fired heater is available in diesel, natural gas or LPG options. Stantil also offers an electric model powered via immersion heating elements. Peripheral components include an expansion tank, pump and heat exchangers, which are selected according to specific client process requirements. These separate components are able to be mounted on a common skid connected with insulated piping. This “drop-in” arrangement allows for easy installation and maintenance access.

HEATER SPARE PARTS AND SUPPORT
Stantil retains the original Ansac and Jostek OEM drawings for JO Series equipment supplied over the previous 20 years. This enables the supply of all heater components, including shell and firetube replacements matched to the original design. Stantil will provide ongoing spare parts and technical support as needed.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What is an elution heater used for?
An elution heater is used to heat elution solution in gold recovery circuits to enable the efficient desorption of gold from activated carbon.
Elution heaters are installed within the elution circuit, typically upstream of the elution column, to raise solution temperature to the required operating range.
Elution heaters are commonly used in Zadra, AARL, and modified elution processes.
What temperatures are typically required for elution?
Elution solution temperatures typically range from approximately 90°C to 140°C, depending on the elution process and operating philosophy.
How is temperature controlled?
Maintaining the correct temperature is critical to achieving efficient gold desorption, reducing cycle time, and ensuring consistent elution performance.
Temperature is controlled automatically through the heater control system, with continuous monitoring to maintain stable solution conditions.
Can the heater handle continuous operation?
Yes. Elution heaters are designed for continuous operation during elution cycles and are suitable for repeated duty cycles.
How is operator safety addressed?
Safety features include thermal insulation, pressure relief devices, interlocks, and controlled access to hot surfaces.
